Builders attempt to Repeal Consumer Protection
Urgent Action Required
No Bailout for Bad Builders
There is some disturbing news out of the Nevada State Legislature we need to tell you about and that you need to contact your representative about. Two dangerous bills made it out of the Nevada State Senate and are now in the hands of the Assembly's Judiciary Committee. You and your fellow Nevada homeowners are in danger of losing important rights, and you need to contact your representative immediately to voice your concerns. Please call, email or write your representative.
SB337
SB337 shortens the time period in which homeowners can bring claims against their builders - cutting the period down from 12 to 3 years from building completion in some cases! Not only does it shorten the time frame, the bill attempts to make the shortened period retroactive, leaving some with suddenly no avenue for their claims.

SB349
SB349 redefines and limits what a homeowner can claim is a construction defect, and takes away the homeowner's statutory entitlement to their attorneys fees and costs - this would leave a homeowner in the hole and without enough money to repair the home.
